Richard Chambers married his bride Lisa in September of 1991, and has two children, Michelle and Travis. He has music in every aspect of his life, as the following list of accomplishments can attest to:

Richard has been the Minister of Music at Talatha Baptist Church since 2000. He is also a DJ on 102.7 WGUS. Naturally, he loves Southern Gospel music. Richard organizes gospel music concerts all over the CSRA. He works full time with Beasley Media Group in radio sales since 2004.

Best job ever: leading the choir at Talatha Baptist Church

The greatest decision of my life: accepting Jesus as my Savior at 10 years old

Richard loves to travel.  His favorite vacation location is the hills of Tennessee or Alaska. A dream location would be the Holy Land where Jesus walked.

Jordan Bird
Pastor

Jordan and his family came to Talatha in August of 2015. Before that, Jordan served as a Family pastor and Associate pastor at several churches in Texas. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University (BA) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv). His passions are for the historic Baptist church, preaching Scripture, and leading the church in evangelism and missions. He is currently pursuing a PhD in church history from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jordan and Meredith are Texas natives and very proud of it. They have 4 children, Zoey, Samuel, Isaac and Zachary. Zoey is crazy fun, and likes Spider-man as much as her princesses. Samuel is a dashing gentleman. Isaac has a personality of his own. Zachary is a newborn, so the jury is still out on him.
