ATTENTION WALMART SHOPPERS – If you have any Walmart receipts that are less than 7 days old, Operation Christmas Child would like to collect them from you…each week. Please give to Wanda or Carmen Webb. Thanks in advance.

BUILD-A-BOX FOR OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
If you’re interested in buying for your shoe boxes throughout the year, please contact Wanda Webb to get your shoe box and information packet. It’s a great way to budget and be able to do more boxes.
February - washcloths and toothpaste
March – Hair brush/comb and toothbrush
April – 2 age appropriate toys
May – Coloring book/art pad and crayons/markers/colored pencils
June – 2 age appropriate fun items. This is a good time of year to shop at Dollar Tree for items such as beach balls, sunglasses, and jump ropes. Reminder---no liquids or glass items.
July – Steno notepad, pencils, pencil sharpener
August - Soap (place in ziplock bag with washcloth)
Candy (individually wrapped and put into ziplock bags). No chocolate, crackers, or snack cakes. (Suggestions – Bubblegum, tootsie rolls, smarties, lollipops and ring pops.)
DOOR GREETERS - We need 8 people to be greeters before Sunday School 9:45a.m. – 10:00a.m. Please see Teresa Hubbard if interested.

FALL FESTIVAL – Need help planning and organizing the Fall Festival. Signup sheet is in the Info Room. Next meeting will be Sunday Sept. 25th at 4:30p.m. Need someone to head up Trunk or Treat, Bouncy House, Costume Contest, and Children’s Games. Any questions please see Teresa Hubbard.
Congratulations to those who have followed the OCC Build a Box schedule. Your boxes should have all of the essential items and also some fun items, Please use the next two months to pay your $7 shipping per box.
GOLD CITY in concert, Thursday, October 13th at 7:00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: TALATHA’S HOMECOMING will be Sunday, October 2nd. Guest speaker will be our very own Jordan Bird. Services begin at 11:00a.m. NOT 10:30. There will be no Sunday School and no Evening Service. All families are asked to bring food, desserts, and drink. Church will provide BBQ, Hash, Rice, Chicken, Rolls, and Tea.
